I had the opportunity to work for almost a year on Rauw Alejandro’s official website.
The project began with the creation of an MVP — a quick version the team needed to support the launch of his new World Tour and to have something to show right away.
During the development of the final version of the site, I went through a deep learning process exploring no-code tools like Spline. It was my first time using the platform, and throughout the project I learned how to create interactive 3D elements such as the vinyls and Rauw’s head, building a dynamic connection between the user and the interface.
One of the biggest challenges was creating the main medallion on the homepage. Starting from a photo of a street in Puerto Rico, I built a 3D environment in Blender, projecting the image onto a simple 3D structure to achieve a realistic sense of depth. I then added particles and motion to create a more immersive visual experience.
I was also responsible for the Shopify redesign of the site, which allowed me to expand my technical skills alongside the creative work.
It was a demanding but incredibly rewarding project. I learned a lot — from mastering new tools to understanding real production workflows — and I’m grateful for the chance to contribute to the visual world of such a talented artist as Rauw Alejandro.
The site received the "award of site of the day" award from Orpetron.
